Understated Elegant Engagement Ring – Portfolio

Our design brief for this weeks 'Ring of the Week' was for a simple, clean, unique but detailed solitaire engagement ring. This beautiful 18kt yellow gold ring was a delight to create. For the centre stone, our client chose a stunning 0.50ct modern round brilliant cut diamond. Our client had also expressed an interest in the 'Rex Claw' stone setting but wanted a more subtle and delicate perspective. We recreated the 'Rex Claw' detailing within the ring without the piece becoming disjointed. The claws are set at North, East, South and West position to retain the shape of the center diamond. The Yellow Gold ring band has a gentle soft taper to add extra finesse and to create continuity throughout the entire ring, seamlessly blending the shank. The curves are natural and fluid which makes this ring extremely tactile. Overall the ring exudes an elegant contemporary feel whilst retaining a warmth and delicacy about it.
