From Concept to Creation
Embark on your bespoke journey with us as we unveil our unique process of artistry and dedication that shapes your custom piece. Every extraordinary creation begins with a story, and here at Durham Rose, we guide you through each step of its creation, from the initial inspiration to the final delivery of your uniquely crafted masterpiece.
Discuss your Vision:
Begin your bespoke journey with a complimentary 1-hour Design Consultation via Zoom, following your initial phone call. This tailored session is designed to bring your unique vision to life. Whether you have a detailed idea, a sketch, or just a spark of inspiration, our designers will collaborate with you in real time, using advanced 3D modelling software to refine your concept. Together, we’ll explore a range of possibilities, including precious metals, gemstone options, diamond cuts, and setting styles, to craft a design that perfectly reflects your style and aspirations.
Receive Conceptual Renders and Cost Breakdown:
After your consultation, your designer will refine your concept, providing detailed renders for visualisation and adjustments. You’ll also receive a tailored cost breakdown with curated material and gemstone options, ensuring your bespoke piece meets your style, quality, and budget expectations.
Perfecting Details with a CAD Model
Once your concept is approved, our team uses advanced CAD software to craft and refine your piece with meticulous attention to detail. A £180 CAD fee serves as a deposit towards your ring. Refined renders and a detailed quotation will be provided for your final approval before manufacturing begins.
Optional wax model – At this stage, before proceeding to production, you have the option to add a wax model for an additional fee of £70. This hands-on opportunity allows you to see how your design translates into reality, ensuring your complete satisfaction before moving forward.
Your dream ring takes shape
With the model and materials finalised, we embark on the manufacturing stage where your design is brought to life in our workshop. Production begins upon receipt of full payment or a 50% deposit, with the balance due before delivery. This intricate process typically spans 4-6 weeks, encompassing casting, meticulous filing, polishing, and precise stone setting to achieve your desired design.
After crafting and hallmarking, your piece undergoes a meticulous quality check by our expert team to ensure it meets our rigorous standards. Once approved, it advances to the final stage—the art of wrapping, where it’s carefully prepared for shipment to you.
Delivery: Wrapped with Love for You
Before your bespoke jewellery reaches your hands, we take care to wrap it meticulously in our signature packaging. Alongside your jewellery, you will find a personalised aftercare card designed to guide you on how to maintain and care for your unique piece. Each item is carefully padded and protected to ensure it arrives safely at your doorstep. For domestic orders, we use insured next-day special delivery, while international orders benefit from expedited international shipping. This ensures that your specially crafted design reaches you promptly and securely, ready to be cherished for years to come.
Complimentary Jewellery Book
Following your proposal or special moment, we invite you to order your personalised Digital Ring Book, documenting the journey of your design. This carefully crafted book chronicles every step of the process, providing a meaningful way to revisit and share this unforgettable story with your partner or loved one. Optionally, you can include your image(s) at the back of the book, along with a special message if desired.
Your Personalised Consultation
Connect with us via Zoom
Enjoy your consultation from the comfort of your home or work, using just a laptop or tablet and a stable internet connection. You’ll receive a Zoom link ahead of your appointment, ready to join at your scheduled time. During your session, your designer will share ideas visually using 3D modelling software to help explore and develop your concept together. This allows us to discuss proportions, styles, and design direction, helping to shape your vision with confidence before moving into the next stages of design.
Meet your designer in-house
We offer exclusive, appointment-only consultations for clients who wish to meet us in person. At our creative studio, your dedicated designer will use advanced 3D modelling software to explore and develop your ideas with precision and care. To ensure you get the most from your visit, we recommend booking in advance so we can prepare your consultation and have a designer ready to guide you through each stage of your design journey.
