Cornflower blue sapphire engagement ring – Portfolio

Our 'Ring of the Week' project this week was commissioned by our clients who had previously used our services to create a 'Proposal Ring'. Inspired by a dress ring that our client fell in love with, we opted to go for a proposal ring first as our client was due to pop the question whilst on a skiing trip. Once both parties returned, we began creating this dramatic and classic custom engagement ring.The band is meticulously sculptured and set with modern round brilliant diamonds in gorgeous marquise sections. Each section is surrounded by milgrain detail to emphasise the diamonds and to add a vintage feel. The bottom of the band remains plainandblends seamlessly for additional comfort.Whenever we are using gemstones we always ask our clients to provideimages of their desired colour so we canmatch the gemstone to their preferred shade. The clients produced a 'cornflower' blue, which is a highly soughtafter Sapphire. We set the Sapphire as low as possible within the basket, as the stone weighed in at 1.71 ct, to ensure a seamless smooth profile.The result is truly beautiful. The blue sapphire is complemented perfectly but the luxury of a platinum band and is completed by the sparkle created by the additional diamonds.
