Frequently Asked Questions

I’VE SEEN A RING ON YOUR SITE THAT I LIKE. HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST ME TO MAKE IT?
The cost of the ring will depend on the type of precious metal, gemstones and ring size that you are looking to use. The models on our site are computer generated and are there to act as a guide or to provide inspiration to clients. As such, it is difficult to value them because they aren’t set to a specific size or specification. You might find it helpful to speak to one of our expert designers about your design ideas so that they can give you a unique breakdown of costs. Click here to speak to one of our expert designers.
CAN YOU GIVE ME A ROUGH GUIDE AS TO HOW MUCH A RING WILL COST?
The cost will depend on the ring design itself, but typically the average solitaire ring would cost £750 – £800 in Palladium and 14K Gold, £900-£950 in 18K Gold and £1000-£1100 in Platinum, plus the cost of any gemstones/diamonds. See here for more information on how we price our bespoke pieces. To speak to one of our designers about pricing, get in touch here.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A RING?
Typically a ring would take 3-4 weeks from the point of design sign-off to it being delivered to you. If you have a deadline, let our design team know and they will be able to advise on specific timescales.
WHERE ARE YOUR RINGS MADE?
We have workshops in the UK and the USA, both of which have different manufacturing capabilities. We have the rings made in the most appropriate workshop once we’ve finalised your designs with you. To find out more information about our workshops see here.
WHICH METALS CAN I MAKE A RING FROM
We cast our rings in Platinum, Palladium, Silver and all of the various types of Gold (Yellow, White, Rose, etc.). See more about these metals here.
I HAVEN’T GOT A HUGE BUDGET, CAN I MAKE A RING WITH YOU?
We are typically around 20-30% less expensive than high street prices with rings that cost above £900, however we do have a relatively high set-up cost due to the way that we make our rings. With a budget lower than this, you may find that you will get more value for money by shopping on the high street or online. See here for how we price our bespoke pieces. WHAT DOES A DESIGN CONSULTATION INVOLVE? IS IT FREE?
An online consultation is a free, no-obligation service in which clients can speak directly with one of our expert design team. Your designer will call you at a time that is convenient and will use a web-conferencing tool so that you can see the designer’s computer screen from your own computer/tablet device. They will work with you to design your bespoke ring and you can see it taking shape in real-time. This method ensures that you are fully involved throughout the process so you are totally satisfied with the final product. All costs will be discussed with you throughout the design process so that you always know where you stand, allowing you to adapt the design to suit your budget. To book in for a design consultation, get in touch with our designers here.
I WORK DURING THE WEEK, IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A CONSULTATION DURING AN EVENING/WEEKEND?
Yes. We are aware that the majority of our clients will be working during normal business hours so we offer consultations until 10pm during the week and also have several weekend appointments. Consultations usually last around one hour. Book a consultation today.
I DON’T KNOW THE RING SIZE OF MY PARTNER, DOES THAT MATTER?
For obvious reasons, knowing which ring size you require is extremely important but it may not always be possible for you to know. We have put together some handy tips on how to find out your partners ring size here. Alternatively you may know an international size but not a UK size. We would suggest heading to a local jeweller to be measured or refer to an online sizing guide. We would always aim to make to measure to get the fit spot on, however we are aware mistakes can happen so we are able to resize rings after they’re made. This can be more difficult if it is more than a few sizes out. See how we make to measure and our re size policies on here.
I ALREADY HAVE A GEMSTONE, ARE YOU ABLE TO SET IT IN A RING THAT I DESIGN?
Yes, we can build a ring around an existing gemstone. See here how we work with our customers own gemstones or diamonds to incorporate the sentimental value of this precious stone.
I HAVE AN HEIRLOOM RING THAT I WANT TO MELT DOWN AND REUSE – IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Yes we can do that. This method will cost more than making a ring from one of our stock alloys as we have to cover the costs of melting and refining the old metal but sometimes the sentimentality of existing rings is totally worth it. See here how we re model heirloom pieces into your perfect new design.
I HAVE AN ELABORATE/COMPLEX DESIGN IDEA, CAN YOU MAKE IT?
Our general stance is that if a design follows the laws of physics, we can make it. Our team love a challenge so there are very few design concepts that we won’t endeavour to create. Feel free to send us a few images of the design concept using this useful guide to communicate your ideas so we can advise on how we could create it. Contact us to find out more about making your dream ring come to life.
DO YOU HAVE A RETURNS POLICY?
No due to the fact that each ring is completely bespoke and as such we are unable to reuse them. However, we work extremely closely with each client to ensure that every element of their design is correct before sign-off. The rings themselves come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty, which covers any potential mechanical defect which could occur. See more about our returns policy here.
