Hot Pink on Dragons’ Den (Shark Tank in the USA)
In 2011 Manu and Pip setup Hot Pink, a bespoke jewellery company. In September 2013 he appeared on the well-known BBC Two TV show Dragons’ Den, where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to millionaires willing to invest their own cash. The show featured our very own Manu Bhardwaj. You can watch the entire pitch below. [Spoiler alert – we came close to getting some of the Dragons’ cash but were unsuccessful, however the publicity that the show generated has transformed our business, so we must have got something right!]

What Happened after Dragons’ Den?
Firstly we want to thank everyone again who got in touch with us after the show aired to wish us well and let us know their thoughts on the Durham Rose business model. We genuinely didn’t expect that so many people would wish us well!
The publicity that we received after initial airing has really help jump-start our business. We now regularly sell rings across the globe, with clients in every continent (apart from Antarctica; one day we will ship a ring there!).
In 2016, as Hot Pink grew, the founders felt like the name of the company should also grow with them. They combined their middle names, Durham and Rose, to give the company its new name and the rest, as they say, is history.
Durham Rose is now looking to further accelerate its global sales. We are pleased to announce that will be accepting applications for our series A investment round which will open in late 2016.
