Classic four prong solitaire – Portfolio

When designing this weeks 'Ring of the Week' project, our client wanted to create a timeless, classic, elegant engagement ring. Our client was also conscious that the engagement ring would need to accommodate a flush set wedding band to ensure a complete, complimentary 'bridal set' in the future. The claws of the ring are fluted and brought to a point underneath the diamond leaving the sides perfectly flat to allow for this. The band has a slight curve to the top surface which is know at a 'D shape' or 'Court band' emphasizing the centre stone. The stone is approx a 0.70 ct modern round brilliant Cubic Zirconia, which is perfectly showcased by the simple four claw mounted open setting. The setting of the stone is detailed in the depth of the band to retain the elegant shape created by the joining of the claws.
